Dafydd Gwyn Jones

Dafydd Gwyn Jones is from Llanbedrog and aiming to be a professional golfer. He plays to an exceptional level and has a handicap of 0. He is studying Professional Golf Studies at Birmingham University in order to obtain a PGA qualification. In a year’s time Dafydd hopes to have established himself as a player on a British golf sub-circuit and hopes to win prizes which will enable him to continue competing.

Teleri Wyn DaviesTeleri Wyn Davies is from Bala and has played for the Wales Women’s Rugby team during 2017. She plays for Clwb Rygbi Gogledd Cymru and Caernarfon and has obviously made her mark.
For training she has to travel to Caernarfon, Eirias Park and the Vale on the outskirts of Cardiff.
Her aim is to get more caps for playing for Wales and also to promote the game by training and inspiring young girls in North Wales to participate in the game.

Medi HarrisMedi is a 15-year-old from Borth y Gest who has already made her mark on a national level – having competed in swimming for Wales and Britain. She is currently the British Number 1 in her age group. When the majority of us are still in bed Medi travels to Bangor many times a week for training sessions. She swims 9 times a week and does a lot of weight training in the gym.
Medi hopes to continue to represent Wales and Britain and aims to compete in the 2022 Commonwealth Games.

Morgan Gethin WilliamsMorgan hails from Felinheli and has made his mark in the world of rugby. He was a member of Rygbi Gogledd Cymru Academy and has played for the under 18 Wales team. Following from this he had a contract with the Ospreys. He trained with the Wales 7 a side and made his first appearance on the 7 a side world circuit in Singapore in April 2016. He will be joining the Scarlets next season.

Gwenllian PyrsGwenllian comes from Ysbyty Ifan and only started to play rugby when she was 16 years old and in a short time has reached national standard. She started her rugby career playing for Nant Conwy women and was then chosen at the end of December 2014 to play for the Scarlets and Caernarfon. At the end of 2016, she was selected to play for Wales. To date, she has had 8 caps playing for Wales and hopes to gain more over the next few years.

Ffion WoodFfion is an 11 year old from Abersoch and sails Toppers. Already, she has competed to Welsh and UK level, travelling all over the country. In August 2018, she will be competing in the ITCA National Championships in Weymouth. She attends regular training sessions and has her sights on being a member of the Welsh National Topper RYA squad in September 2018.

Ioan Drosinos JonesIoan already plays golf to a professional level. He works at Clwb Golff Abersoch and hails from Nefyn. Last year he won the 1836 Circuit beating nearly 200 players with a score of 7 under par. As an amateur he played to a handicap of +2. He hopes to become a full member of the ‘Europro Tour’ or the ‘Challenge Tour’ during the coming year.

Osian Dwyfor JonesOsian is from Caernarfon. He became interested in athletics after attending the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester. Osian holds the Welsh record for throwing the hammer with a personal throw of 71.62m. He competed in the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games recently and secured 7th position. Over the next 12 months he hopes to throw over 75m and compete in the World Athletics Championship in Doha.
